A Celebration of California’s Nature and Agriculture
at Yolo Basin Foundation’s Bucks for Ducks 2017
Artists are invited to donate art to be featured in the
Silent Auction Art Exhibit.
Yolo Basin Foundation’s 27th annual Bucks for Ducks fundraising gala takes place on October 20. It will feature both a fine arts exhibit and a juried photography exhibit (see the separate call for photography). The purpose of these shows is to raise money for the Foundation’s wetlands education programs.
Exhibit Theme: For the first time the art can be inspired by nature and agriculture in all of California! Images on this page are 8″ x 8″ art pieces featured in previous Bucks for Ducks exhibits.
Type of art: All media (i.e. paint, ink, ceramic, mosaic, glass, collage). No photographs please. There is a separate call for entries for the event’s juried photography show.
Size/Dimensions: New sizes accepted this year! 8″ tall x 8″ wide up to 8″ tall x 15″ max width. Artists may submit up to two pieces of art.
Format: The art work should be a format for hanging on a wall. Blocks of wood 8” high up to 15” wide will be available for artists in the Yolo Basin Foundation office starting July 10. However, use of the wood blocks is not mandatory. If the provided wood block is used, the sides of the wood should be painted to give the piece a more finished look. The hanger hardware will be added by Yolo Basin Foundation staff after art work is received if necessary.
Deliver Dates: September 1 to September 29. Space is limited. The art work included in the exhibit will depend on the sizes of pieces submitted.
Deliver to: Yolo Basin Foundation office, 45211 County Road 32B (Chiles Road), Davis, CA. Arrangements can be made for pick-up.
Show preview: All art submitted will be available for viewing on Yolo Basin Foundation’s website at least two weeks before the event, with credit to the artist and a link to the artist’s website if desired.
Submission Form: Click here to download a submission form to include with your art work when delivering. Blank forms will be available at the office as well.
