Virtual Tour of the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area (Earth Day 2020)
Is a coot a type of a duck? Why or why not?
How big is a Great Blue Heron?
What are the shorebirds doing out there? I thought they lived at the beach.
Enjoy this virtual tour of the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. Since classes are not able to come on their field trips to visit the wetlands, due to the current Shelter-in-Place order during the Covid-19 pandemic, we decided to bring the wetlands to the young and the young at heart.
This is a child friendly educational look at the wetlands in Davis, CA. You will see plants and birds that depend on wetlands and learn a bit about them. View downingia, mustard, coot, ducks, shorebirds, egrets, and a Great Blue Heron.
Be sure to come back soon to watch the night flight of the bats.
